Preserve the past as you go

Preserve the past as you go

It’s best to try to take an extra moment to document the special elements that are the symbols & artifacts that make up your family’s heritage and culture.  For example, take a photo of your grandmother’s favorite string of pearls, or a great uncle’s time piece, a worn & treasured family bible, a military medal, handwritten letters or a whimsical carving. Be sure to take a photo of the artifact in their natural environment, on the shelf, or on a special piece of fabric, or home-place locale. These keepsakes are time capsules, and represent your family’s living mementos to be cherished and remembered. They are wonderful additions to include in your film’s story, thus documenting and preserving the treasures of your ancesters or your own history.
